Amy's Professional Background
Current Employment: Staff Attorney (eviction defense) at Tacomaprobono Community Lawyers' Housing Justice Project
As a staff attorney for the right-to-counsel program, Amy prevents tenants from being wrongly evicted from their housing. She ensures her tenant clients have due process of law before potentially losing their housing, negotiates repayment plans and move out agreements as well as agreements to keep eviction proceedings off of tenant screening records. This allows tenants who have seen tough times be able to move forward and find new housing. Amy works tirelessly to represent her clients' interests and reach her clients' goals.
Past employment: Executive Chef / Owner of Locavore Mobile Kitchen
As an executive chef and owner of her own food truck business in rural Wisconsin, Amy worked hard to create beneficial relationships with local farmers and food producers while promoting other local businesses and non-profits. .68 of every dollar spent in a local business stays with the local community. As a local business and farm advocate, Amy used her own platform to promote spending local dollars with local farmers.
