Amy for Community: Collaboration is key to managing Sumner's growth - collaboration between government and our small business community and between government and our residents.
Amy for Business: As a former small business owner, and the daughter of a small business owner, I understand that connections are important and the challenges are many. I want to ease the burden on small business owners seeking to open or relocate in Sumner.
Amy for the Environment: Progress is important, but our environment cannot be sacrificed. Tree preservation - particularly for old growth - needs to be prioritized. If trees have to be removed for development, they should be professionally relocated on site to ensure tree safety.
Amy for Housing: There is a housing shortage in our community and in the region a as a whole. Sumner will stand for smart development of housing that balances affordability, traffic concerns, and protection of our small-town environment.
